2. Cream butter and sugar. Add melted chocolate and beaten egg. 3. Add flour, salt, baking powder and stir. Then add vanilla, alternately w/ milk.
4. Beat w/ hand beater (NOT MIXMASTER).
5. Put into two 9" cake pans and bake for 45 minutes until cake is done.
Icing
1/2 cup Butter
56 grams or 2 ounces Semisweet chocolate pieces
1 Egg -- beaten
1/4 teaspoon Salt
1 teaspoon Lemon juice
1 teaspoon Vanilla
1 1/2 cups icing sugar
1 cup Nuts -- chopped
Mix first 6 ingredients, then stir in confectioners' sugar.
Beat until thick enough to spread. Frost and then sprinkle nuts on top.
