THE $100 CHOCOLATE CAKE (MMmmm)

The $100 Chocolate Cake  
 
Serving Size : 10 
Cake Ingredients 
1/2 cup Butter 
2 cups Sugar 
112 grams or 4 ounces Semisweet chocolate pieces 
2 Eggs -- beaten 
2 cups Sifted cake flour 
1/4 teaspoon Salt 
2 teaspoons Baking powder 
1 1/2 cups Milk 
1 teaspoon Vanilla 
1 cup Nuts -- chopped 

Directions 
1. Preheat oven to 350F or 180 C. 
2. Cream butter and sugar. Add melted chocolate and beaten egg. 
3. Add flour, salt, baking powder and stir. Then add vanilla, alternately w/ milk. 
4. Beat w/ hand beater (NOT MIXMASTER). 
5. Put into two 9" cake pans and bake for 45 minutes until cake is done.
Icing 
1/2 cup Butter 
56 grams or 2 ounces Semisweet chocolate pieces 
1 Egg -- beaten 
1/4 teaspoon Salt 
1 teaspoon Lemon juice 
1 teaspoon Vanilla 
1 1/2 cups icing sugar 
1 cup Nuts -- chopped
 
Mix first 6 ingredients, then stir in confectioners' sugar. 
Beat until thick enough to spread. Frost and then sprinkle nuts on top.
